Latest Updates
In the late morning of Thursday 17th December Avalon Beach RSL Club was notified by NSW Health that someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 recently visited our venue.
NSW Health has advised that the patron was at the Club on Friday, 11 December 2020. Since that date, several other venues have been listed as close contact venues and three more dates have been added to Avalon Beach RSL; being the 14th 15th & 16th of December. Close all contact venues and casual contact venues (90+) are listed here. https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates
If you were at the club on any of the dates mentioned or any venue listed as close contact, please get tested immediately and isolate until you receive a negative result and until you have been contacted by NSW Health.
At every request, detailed contact tracing details were immediately provided to NSW Health. NSW Health have thanked the Club for detailed contacts and the quick manner in which they receive this information.
Due to most Club staff being in Isolation and so we can get this quickly contained the Avalon Beach RSL Club will not be open until 2021.
On re-open we will continue to work hard to maintain a safe environment for our members, guests and staff at Avalon Beach RSL Club, and hope to see you back at the Club in the new year. We thank everyone in the community for their support during this challenging time.
The Club has been operating under a robust COVID-safe plan, which has gone above and beyond government requirements. This plan includes having an entrance desk staffed at all times to ensure accurate contact tracing, having dedicated COVID safety marshals on duty, providing hand sanitiser throughout the club, and ensuring the frequent cleaning of high-touch areas. On the early morning of the 17th we also took the extra precaution of closing the Club before being advised to do so, and requested that all staff get a COVID-19 test.
Management & Board would like to sincerely thank our Staff, Members, surrounding Local Clubs and ClubsNSW for the kind messages, phone calls and offer of support. In such a difficult this has been incredibly appreciated.
See you soon & take care.
